At an early age, I decided I was going to be an actor, or maybe the President. It’s not clear how I settled on this career, but I was very busy writing plays for my little friends and performing them in the lovely backyard theater several of the fathers built for us. That led me to taking children’s acting classes and performing in several of the Civic Light Opera musical comedies. In high school, I naturally immersed myself in all things theater, even taking a summer session at the Pasadena Playhouse. My mother and I were both in Covenant Players in Los Angeles, with the highlight of doing a play with Dick Van Dyke at the Forum!

I ventured out to Hollywood and studied with Estelle Harmon for several years and eventually became an apprentice actor at Theater West. I attended Cal State Fullerton as an acting/directing major, but dropped out after a getting a small role on All in the Family in 1973. I acted and directed in the Los Angeles Shakespeare Ensemble for a season, and performed in several curious original plays that no one’s heard of to this day.

I still have the passion to act, gratefully joining an improv group here in Palm Springs, that really opened up my creativity. I’m proud to be a 6 year member of The Improvables of the Desert. I’ve been in several of the local theater group’s plays, but would really like to do some professional acting for theater, TV, or film.
