What’s that strange sound?
Sitting in our garden, sipping on coffee, I realized something was amiss. It took me a few seconds to analyze it. It was quiet. The gang of local birds were happily chirping to each other, our fountain gurgled merrily, and I could hear some neighbors off in the distance laughing together. There were no traffic sounds, no disruptive growl from a motorcycle, no sirens. It was spooky! Maybe this quarantine is a much-needed soothing balm for our senses. Not to minimize the danger and hardship some of us are going through, but allowing our souls some space for quiet, solitude, and contemplation. Admittedly, my biggest contemplation is what food items are available for our next tasty meal. Oh well, my path to Nirvana may require some waddling.
You are keeping your sense of humor. I hope you are well! And hope to see you sometime when we can travel, again.
