Writing I have a faint memory of a ten- year- old me, typing furiously on my little portable turquoise typewriter, creating yet another great novel for the ages. I entered all sorts of writing contests, encouraged by my mother, who, herself was an excellent writer. I dabbled in short stories, play writing, and an unfortunate spate of erotic poetry that occurred in high school. As life went on, I became more of an avid reader, than writer. My favorite indulgence is reading a mystery with female authors, with a female sleuth, and a dollop of humor. I must have read at least 500 of cozy, procedural, psychological thrillers, and paranormal mysteries, until I could take it no longer! I had to write my own mystery. So, I did. I was lucky enough to get SOILED, a Shannon Patrick Landscape Mystery published in 2015, by Sapphire Books Publishing. My day job, landscape designing and installing, got in the way for a while, but I was drawn to writing the second book in my overly ambitious series. Alas, it didn’t come together as well as I hoped. After sulking for a bit, I found myself ready to brush off my writing chops by blogging and writing for my website. I know I have more books in me! Stay tuned!
